NOC TECHNICIANS
NOC Technicians will be responsible for 24×7 monitoring, operating and maintaining the Limitless Mobile (LM) network, including a 3G/4G RAN, network core, associated telecommunication and microwave transport circuits, data center facilities and IP networking infrastructure (LAN). Specific duties include:
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers to identify, quantify and resolve any technical issues.
- Monitor/test network/service performance, provide input for performance statistics/reports and recommend solutions.
- Maintain servers and networks.
- Execute, maintain and support backup and security procedures.
- Ability to develop procedures/processes for disaster recovery plans.
- Diagnose, resolve and document hardware and software issues.
- Collaborate with engineers to create optimal network design topologies and configurations.
- Requires flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
NOC 1: Required Skills:
- 1+ years’ experience in a technical information service role.
- 6+ months’ experience diagnosing, resolving and documenting hardware and software infrastructure issues.
- Prior experience handling incoming calls and/or emails regarding network connectivity, server problems and other service issues.
- Basic router and switch skills.
NOC 2: Required Skills:
- Router and switch experience. Cisco certifications preferred.
- 1+ years’ experience in a technical information service role.
- 6+ months’ experience diagnosing, resolving and documenting hardware and software infrastructure problems.
- Prior experience handling incoming calls and/or emails regarding network connectivity, server problems and other service issues.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Associates degree OR equivalent experience in IS or computer operations.
- Intermediate skills with Linux and Windows servers.
NOC 3: Required Skills:
- Technical degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years computer applications experience.
- 2 years SS7 (Mobile Application Part) and troubleshooting experience.
- 1+ VoIP or SIP experience.
- 1+ year NOC experience troubleshooting SS7.
- Strong troubleshooting experience within OSI/SS7 Layers 1-5 with the ability to operate network component analyzers, scanners, sniffer, packet capture software and test equipment.
Preferable Skills for NOC Technicians:
- 2+ years’ customer service experience in a trouble resolution environment.
- Willingness to work and make decisions in a rapidly changing and uncertain environment.
- Training in data, voice or video network technologies.
- Good technical and analytical skills.
- Good client and vendor relations and interpersonal skills.
- Microwave or fiber backhaul.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and on a team.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced start-up environment with ability to recognize and adjust priorities as required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational qualities.
- Ability and eagerness to embrace both new and existing technology.
- Language fluency (e.g., Danish, German, Spanish, Swedish) considered an advantage.
